so in the past >month, I lost over 6% of my bodyweight. yay! :)

the canucks COULD win the stanley cup tonight. they have to. if this series goes to game 7, it might kill me. I'm palms-sweatingly nervous for the game tonight. also...canucks games (and village market days) are now my semi-off-plan days, ie. if I'm optionless, or am dying for something not-quite-low-carb, I can have A LITTLE. good thing the season is almost over, and markets are every 2 weeks instead of every week. gotta be careful. :)

starting this week, yoga yoga yoga, and then either this week or next, I'm going to start the Cto5K program. I HATE running, but I think it would be a valuable skill. ha! wish me luck.

P3, doo do doo

I'm cutting my VLCD short. I'm too cold, my hair is falling out, I haven't hit my "sweet spot" with HCG dosing, and I'm just not in the right mindframe for it (THANKS, HOCKEY). so I shall be low carbing again! I WILL do this diet again, but I'll be better prepared with more info and better supplementation. looking forward to it, actually! and I still lost 11ish lbs in less than 3 weeks.

anyway! really excited to be able to expand my food choices. I ate off plan a few times and was surprised/pleased to see that I just don't have the space for the food I used to (at this point anyway)!

so yeah! that's that for now. :)

oh sleep, why have you forsaken me?

between my bladder and my brain not being able to accept that it gets light WAY TOO FRICKIN EARLY, I'm getting nowhere near enough sleep lately. as a night owl, this pattern is making me miserable. I'm SO tired today that I don't even trust myself to do certain tasks at work! that's not good. driving is a fun challenge today too. hrmph.

as of today, I'm down 8 lbs. blows my fricking mind. 4 lbs from pre-loading weight. I am really looking forward to being done this phase and back to regular low carb.

it's my mom's birthday this coming week, and I'm pretty sure the cake making will fall onto me. that is gonna be rough! luckily I really don't like fondant (for eating, anyway), so that's one less temptation. but the cake itself? oof.

I should be now I shall. :)

I'm a horrible blogger!


so I decided to give the HCG diet a try, and so far, despite being hungry and tired, it's worth it. I figure I can do almost anything for 3 weeks, and this shouldn't be an exception. :) so three weeks HCG, then low carb for at least 6, then another cycle. I can't believe I don't feel worse on such low's pretty awesome.

so I had pancakes. they tasted really good, and now I have no energy. I'm literally almost nodding off. DULY NOTED.

better option? bacon. but that's how this morning panned out. I'll be a pork nazi on monday. :)

huge shock here, BUT...

...a particularly bad hormonal cycle pushed me over the edge of sugar cliff this week, big time. gah! trying to get back on track one meal at a time, but I don't think I'll be able to get right back up on it until monday. which isn't being defeatist or whatever, this weekend is just going to be about baking. it's my great-nephew's (gah! great anything attached to any title of mine is freaky) baby shower on sunday, so it's on me to make a fondant covered, intricately decorated cake for the occasion (plus cupcakes). once that's over and done with, I can get back to normal, whatever that is for me. well...low carb anyway. :)

so I'm down a couple more lbs from the looks of it, so that brings it to 20. yay! if only that were a significant percentage of what I NEED to lose...argh. intead of focusing on it, I'm trying to think of doing this for the duration. the odd off meal or even off day is fine. the odd off week or month or consecutive weeks/month though? not ok.'d think I'd be an ace at dieting/lifestyle by now, I've been at it for so long! :P

it's been yoga yoga yoga, work work work, and too many nuts so far this week. I discovered almond meal crackers. it's all over, folks. I just want to eat those and that's it. hahaha! I kid, I'm reining (spelling? looks wrong) the nut consumption in a little, as I think they make me retain some water. as someone whose body LOVES to retain water...yeah, I don't need it.

also...I'm exhausted all the time lately, which sucks. I think it's my upstairs neighbour getting up at an ungodly hour to get to work, and when he showers, it's thunderous in my bedroom. I still can't get used to it. bah.

other than that...things are sailing along, I suppose...

the six week challenge is over...

...and I'm down 17 lbs! yay! 17 badly needed lbs. it's awful how high I let it get, but at least I stopped it, riiiight? there's another challenge starting in may, so I'll be low carbing from here on in. but more carbs between now and then, so I can drop down during challenge time.

I'd had NO idea I'd left this blog for over a year! I've been struggling with some stuff. no excuse, really, but I have! hahaha!

still going with counting calories and avoiding grains, sugar, and carby fruits and veg. AND keeping down my nut consumption, which I think may have been my achilles heel before. I haven't had much appetite the past couple of days. too bad that likely won't stick around. :)

superbowl sunday tomorrow, or rather, drunken stuperbowl sunday. I won't be partaking, but I will be partaying. and will have to eat pre-party.

oh hi!

I'm back low carbing again! man, I don't know WHY I ever stop. I blame issues. ;)

anyway, two of my sisters and I joined a weight loss challenge with a local trainer, so I jumped right back on the LC bandwagon (where I belong, dammit), only I'm counting calories during the week as well as avoiding grains/sugars, and just watching carbs by themselves on the weekends.

anyway...hi! once I get back online proper, maybe I'll blog some more. :)
